Mr. and Mrs. BRANDON have a home in Mississippi at Arcole Plantation, Pinckneyville, Miss.--just across the Louisiana line, about 55 miles from Baton Rouge, La. Mrs. BRANDON was a member of the M.A., and a dear friend through letters, lost touch with until the autumn of 1952 when she asked the compiler to make out papers for the Colonial Dames, for her daughter Lucy. Those papers met with gratifying results. Mrs. Parlange wrote:--"I would like you to know some of the many compliments paid you by the Connecticut Genealogist, Mr. Donald Lynes Jacobus, for the National Society of the Colonial Dames. He had no end of confidence in you as a fellow genealogist and approved my papers the day after they were received, on the authority of your book and your manuscript."
